This book is the latest addition to the "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" series, which is one of my favourite series. As such, I was excited when my cousin agreed to lend me the book. Flipping open the book, there's a note that the book is only meant for peculiar eyes, but no, that didn't stop me from reading it because, we are all peculiar and unique in our own ways even though we may be ordinary humans, aren't we?(Well, maybe that was the message that the author wanted to sent across, idk)
But anyways, on to the stories. The book is divided into a series of fairytales, each one fascinating and magical, which at the same time, conveys important life lessons to its readers. It is the modern day fairytale, and it does not necessary have a "happily ever after" ending, which makes it peculiar. Personally, the tales were addictive, and I found myself speeding through the entire book in no time, reluctant to even put it down. I particularly enjoy the language-the carefully chosen words, which do not fail to add a touch of magic to the entire book.
If you think that these tales are meant for children, you are wrong because it teaches things that teens and adults tend to forget as we get through our hectic lives. So, wouldn't it be good to pause and engage in something simpler sometimes? I mean, life is already complicated enough, sometimes we need to face something that is less complex. As such, I would say that this book is certainly suitable for people of all ages and people from all walks of life. You will certainly learn a thing or two about life in this book.
So, hesitate no further, if you ever come across this book, think no further, just pick it up, put everything aside and enjoy the magical tales in the book. Besides, it may also be a chance for you to connect and go back in time to your childhood days.
May you be enchanted like I was.
